What was drawn is what gets built.
A duplex is decided long before anyone pours a slab. It is decided in the detail of the drawing: the setbacks, the ceiling heights, the way a stair lands, the junction where two dwellings meet and have to stay quiet.
Elek Properties builds to that detail. We work directly with owners rather than through a sales office, we do not substitute a specified material for a cheaper one once the scaffold is up, and the person who quotes your job is the person accountable for it.
Since 2016 that has been enough to keep the business running almost entirely on referral.

What we build
Four things, done properly, rather than everything at once. Duplexes are the bulk of the work and the reason most people call.

Most requested
Duplex construction
Design and construction of dual occupancy duplexes, from feasibility on your block through approvals to handover of both dwellings. We build them to be lived in by an owner, not flipped, which shows up in the acoustic separation and the finishes.

New residential homes
Single dwelling custom homes, built to your architect's drawings or documented with ours. Fixed scope, written variations, one site manager from slab to handover.

Renovations and extensions
Structural renovation, second storey additions and rear extensions. The work that has to marry new construction into a house someone already loves, without it looking bolted on.

Knockdown rebuild
Demolition and rebuild on your existing block, including approvals, service disconnections and site management. Often the better answer when a renovation stops making financial sense.
The detail is the job
Anyone can frame a house. The difference between a builder you recommend and one you warn people about sits in the parts that are hard to photograph: the waterproofing under the tiles, the acoustic rating in the party wall, the flashing that will not leak in nine years.
We would rather spend an extra week on a junction than explain it later. It is slower. It is also why our clients keep sending us their friends.
